Samsung Philippines, in partnership with RUNRIO, continues to champion wellness through the Galaxy Watch marathons, a two-leg event that encourages running enthusiasts to discover interesting landmarks of the country while meeting their fitness milestones.
The Galaxy Watch Manila Marathon welcomed over 8,000 Galaxy runners from 30 countries, with runners traversing a scenic route that offered a unique opportunity to experience some of the city's most iconic landmarks, such as Manila City’s oldest bridge - Jones Bridge, the modern Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, and the historic walled city of Intramuros.

From Manila, the Galaxy Watch Run is continuing the momentum as it moves to Cebu, offering participants a fresh route filled with exciting new challenges and stunning views.
To be held on 24 November 2024, the Galaxy Watch Run Cebu Half-Marathon will have participants racing along the scenic background of the city’s beautiful waters, as they traverse through the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway and pass through the vibrant Citi de Mare. Sign-ups are still open at the Galaxy Watch Cebu Half-Marathon website.
“The Galaxy Watch Run series is how Samsung Philippines is supporting the emerging running communities in different cities within the country,” explained Samsung Electronics Philippines Product Marketing Manager for Wearables Chelsea Quing.
“We aim to widen the purpose of the Galaxy Watch Marathon and help boost sports tourism in the country. At the same time, we want to promote a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle for more Filipinos, combining wellness and technology with Samsung smartwatches powered by Galaxy AI.”
Samsung has also organized a supportive community to prepare the runners before the Marathon via the Galaxy Watch Run Club, a program that brings together aspiring athletes for six empowering training sessions, fitness challenges, and community. Runners may join the Galaxy Watch Run Club Viber Community to get updates on the sessions.
